Educated in Scotland, Nick started his shipping career with a major shipping and shipmanagement group in Hong Kong.
He subsequently developed a career promoting and protecting the interests of shipping industry stakeholders. An initial focus on reputation, crisis communications and issues management for shipowners and shipmanagers broadened into branding and comms.
Since 2007 he has worked in the world of marine classification, leading brand, communications and external relations teams to help drive and support safety and environmental protection in global shipping. Today he works for the Marine & Offshore Division of Paris headquartered Bureau Veritas, the global leader in testing, inspection and certification.
